CALLING IN ………METAL!!!

According to reports from Deadline.com, Guillermo Del Toro’s next movie will be H.P Lovecraft’s 1931 novel, At the Mountains of Madness…finally someone who can make a worthy Lovecraft film!

James Cameron has decided to back del Toro’s vision and come on as a producer. Not Surprisingly the movie will be in 3D (honestly what isn’t now) using Cameron’s  AVATAR 3d technology. Pre-production is planned to begin immediately with hopes of filming some time next summer. (more…)

At the forefront of the Geek wet dream fad is a little lady named Olivia Munn. Understandably any less than confident nerd who’s into role playing, comics and video games is infatuated with this beauty, as she is stunningly attractive with a killer body and is supposedly into geeky things. Sure one doesn’t have to be that smart to understand that this pretty face is just a marketing scheme gone viral. If over the years of working for g4 as eye candy she has obtained a healthy love for geeky hobbies, more power to her. I used to be just as enamored with her as every other nerd until she began to have causes. The thing that bothers me is that she is beginning to get a little too big for her britches. Now that she is becoming well known and has been featured on the Daily show (among other things), the mainstream media is taking more notice of her and latching on like they do with every other fad. It turns out that Olivia has opinions and she wants to make a difference! Olivia hates the circus, as she feels that it’s cruel to animals (Elephants particularly) and was part of a major PETA protest of Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. Now she’s standing on her lovely little tip toes defending the Wonder Woman Costume change saying that it doesn’t matter if she looks patriotic. Maybe it doesn’t but what I want to know is how much DC paid her to say that so that the fan boys would jump on board. (more…)
