Set in a world where people always tell the truth and no one has ever even thought of lying, Ricky Gervais has the worst day of his life. Women don’t find him attractive; he loses his job, and gets evicted. Through these events he stumbles upon his ability to tell people something other than the absolute truth and it changes his life. Living in a world of gullible truth tellers he can get whatever he wants as no one doubts that what he is saying is the truth. Yes, he uses his”powers” for the same things we would, but also lies to better the lives of those around him. Things go a rye when his lies make him famous and he must decide how make best use of his knowledge. (more…)

For a while now I’ve had the constant feeling that I need to unplug, but just don’t really have the social leeway to do so. Unless you choose to live completely alone in a cabin growing and raising your own food, you can’t escape computerized technology. With the danger of sounding like the Uni-bomber, I think it’s possible that computerized electronics are causing a crisis of self among humanity without us even knowing it. And yes I realize the irony of my statement considering I’m using a computer to self publish this ridiculousness. (more…)

Have you ever been watching Mystery Science theater or Rifftrax, and thought one of the Following: “I miss Joel“, “The Original Voice of Crow was better“,” It all went to hell after Dr Forester and Frank left.” Well wish no more folks, because the new Cinematic titanic is upon us.

To Catch you up, Cinematic Titanic is the “new” brainchild of MST Creators Joel Hodgson, Tracy Beulieux, Frank Connif, and the others. Essentially it is the same format as MST3k only there are no robots, and the entire cast’s silhouettes grace the screen. (more…)

Some good stuff available tomorrow folks. Here’s what I’m picking up, what about you?

Holy Crap this Looks funny! Essentially this is a Spin off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, featuring Aldus Snow (Russel Brand) who I personally thought was the funniest part of Marshall. The Story follows Johah Hill’s character as an uncomfortable and unestablished drone in the music industry who must escort Rock Legend Aldus Snow to the Greek theater by the end of the week; naturally shenanigans ensue. As funny as this movie looks, the title is abysmal. If I hadn’t read about it and watched the preview I would have thought it was some shitty tween movie about frat and sorority life. This could most definitely turn out to be the funniest movie of the spring! Continue on to see the preview. (more…)

This Explains SO MUCH!! The mushrooms making Mario grow “bigger”. Why King Koopa*  wasn’t good enough for the Princess. For that matter how a fat plumber (heh heh plumber) got a princess in the first place. What else would this explain in the game?

*Yes I know he’s technically named Bowser, but im old school. In Super Mario Bros he was named King Koopa….Bowser was in Sha Na Na.

Dead Rising 2!

Its Zombie time again folks! Here is the first game play footage of the sequel to the awesome hack and slash zombie game for the Xbox 360; Dead Rising. Dead Rising 2 takes place in Fortune City (obviously a rip off of Las Vegas) with a new main character Chuck Green. DR2 also includes some new features such as weapon combining and as well as up to 10000 zombies on screen at one time.

The story line follows a somewhat Running Man-esque plot line that pits contestants against each other in an arena full of zombies to rack up a higher kill count. Its a few years after the events of the original and zombies have taken over quite a bit of real estate, so I can only assume that one such arena would be Fortune City. There is no release date posted yet, but continue on to see the footage!

The monster within me stirs upon hearing more updates for this long awaited sequel. I applied for my beta, did you apply for yours? But honestly, I hope the actual game does not see a release until late 2010. I have too much to do now for this game to be dangled in front of me. Please Blizzard, just hold off until September. Anyways, here’s a good read if you are excited as I am. Jim Raynor’s wonderous dialogue will be upon us soon my friends…

A night with the new Battle.net and StarCraft 2

Many thanx to CapitalG for the tip. :)

For about a year now there has been a tremendous buzz about Bioshock. Not only because of the newly released sequel to the game, but the announcement of the Bioshock Movie, to be directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, the Ring) and written by John Logan (The Aviator, Gladiator). Soon after the announcement of the creative team the recession hit hard and a series of circumstances caused Verbinski to pull out as director (though he stayed on as producer). Juan Carlos  Fresnadillo (28 weeks Later) was then named as the new director. This I feel was the Epic oversight by the studio.
