Today was a rather light day, could quite possibly be considered a bi-week as far as new comics go in my opinion. Sadly there are no DC, Image or Dark Horse selections I felt worthy of buyin today so you only get some Marvel Drivel. Blackest Night Wonder Woman #3 came out today, but im just not that interested in that Amazon, even now that shes a star sapphire in the lantern Universe (Can you hear the Nerd just oozing out of my fingertips…I sure can).Not much to show you but here’s what I picked up today:

Ultimate X #1: Wolverine is dead. Captain America is a fugitive. The Fantastic Four disbanded. Lives have been destroyed and nothing can ever be the same is there any hope left? It all begins with a search for a brand new character whose identity will leave jaws on the floor and change the Ultimate Universe forever. Ok, Leave jaws on the floor? I dont think so….its Wolverine’s kid, and apparently Old Wolfy was bangin Kitty Pride. So Usual marvel stuff, reboot your series make it somewhat updated, forget the past and appeal to new teenagers. I guess they gotta renew every once in a while but Come on! How about some storyline solidarity. I think that its quite possible that i Hate the Ultimate marvel Universe, I only bought this because its a #1 and some emo loving director will probably option this shit for a movie staring Zack Effron and I can sell it for an exorbitant price.

Siege #2: The blockbuster Marvel event of the year goes full-blown carnage and madness as the biggest and most brutal battle in Marvel’s history brings together heroes from all sides. Lines have been drawn, and an unlikely hero will save one Avenger, but they can’t save them all. The Siege has begun and it claims its first victim as AN AVENGER WILL DIE!!  Yes an Avenger will die…..until he comes back to life in three issues (or whenever sales begin to lag). Marvel do me a favor and change your name to Gimmicky Disney comics until you start writing decent stories again.
