Mario Kart is a great game and always will be, but for those of you who are sick of jerking a Wii-mote from side to side like a drunken asshole with a seizure disorder, and would like to get your fill of Cartoony violence-laden drag racing, you now have a new option: Sonic and Sega All-stars Racing featuring Banjo-Kazooie! Granted it would have made sense just to call it Sonic Racing, but why not give it a much too long name instead?

Anyhoo, Sonic Racing keeps all the things you love about Mario kart and adds inventive new tracks. You still have the rows of weapon giving surprise boxes, you still have the special powers and projectiles, and the game land tracks. The differences come in quite a few places, the cars handle much better than in Mario Kart, The tracks take you for loop de loops, and speed is quite a bit faster when it’s boosted. Also you have Sonic Style bumpers around the track that can ping you or enemies off the walls. (more…)

Earth day MMMMaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!

Ah Earth Day….welcome to yet another day that started as a good idea then slowly became and institution. 40 years ago began the hippie’s indoctrination of America where having eco crap rammed down your throat from a young age until adulthood has definitely passed the line into an almost religious brainwashing. Once again we have the American idea that doing something insignificant will make a difference rather than doing something that matters.

e.g “Post this in your facebook status if you want to save the environment”, Awareness Days, “I wore pink for breast cancer!”

On this earth day I plan to do nothing different from my every day routine. I’m going to drive my gas guzzling car, I’m going to throw away my plastic bottles (in the garbage), and I plan to eat red meat. Don’t get me wrong, I love nature, I love the outdoors, but you know what? I’m not going to waste my time recycling or purchasing a hybrid car because “SOCIETY!” tells me so. I do plan to spend some time walking through a forest preserve, but that’s because I do that every day, and while I’m there I might even pick up some garbage. (more…)

All right…I am not and have never been a fan of Anime, so Avatar: the Last Airbender (though I have heard good things) has pretty much been on the edge of my radar for years. After M. Night Shayimalamanamithaninan’s …(whatever)… last movie The Happening was a flop, he decided it was time for him to commit the writer/director walk of shame and direct some one else’s script.

The Movie that picked him up was The Last Airbender, name slightly changed due to Avatar already being in theaters. Now I dont know much about the plot other than it involves an epic battle between Benders (not the awesome robot) who control different elements from nature. Avatar being the last of the air benders…hence the name. From what I can see, this movie is either going to be epically Lame or a great martial arts movie. Judging on other american made martial arts movies and Shmiliyonganon’s track record im gonna bet lame…but i guess one can hope. Click on over to see the trailer (more…)

Just when I thought I wasn’t going to find anything to write about for angry Monday, I have to thank the heavens for the golden globes. Now I have to say this presentation was far better than that of years past, and in fact I agreed with most of the winning choices as it seemed far more accurate than usual. The addition of Ricky Gervais as the Host only made the night even more enjoyable. His dry wit and shameless approach to his joke telling really fit the awards and I personally would love to see him back….which means he probably wont be.
First off Michael C. Hall FINALLY won for Dexter as best dramatic lead in a tv series. Sadly though I have a feeling that the only reason the members of the foreign press finally gave in, was because of his recent admittance of battling Hodgekins lymphoma, and we all know how these ninnies are swayed by political and emotional factors. Even so it was finally good to see him recognized, as well as John Lithgow for his supporting  role in the same series. (more…)
