Quite possibly the Funniest survival book you will ever read, Be Ready when the shit goes down: a Survival Guide to the Apocalypse by Forest Griffin and Erich Krauss is the perfect mix of snide sarcasm and helpful survival tips. Upon reading the forward any and all expectations are completely dashed and replaced with unexpected laugh’s and childhood anecdotes that explain Griffins theories on post apocalyptic survival. If you liked the Zombie survival guide, you will love B.R.W.T.S.G.D:A.S.G.T.T.A (damn that’s a long acronym), as it takes post apocalyptic survival from the point of view  of someone who really doesn’t care if three fourths of the population were to be wiped out.

Griffin is witty, intelligent and laugh out loud funny and I suggest you pick up this quick read immediately. You will Laugh but it may also save your life in the near future. (more…)

CHICAGO – Days ago, the EU approved the merger between United Airlines and Continental, putting the companies on pace to become the world’s largest airline when the process is complete in roughly five months time.  In business, however, bigger is not always better.  Both airlines have repeatedly fallen behind   no-frills competitor Southwest Airlines, which posted a healthy net income of $112 million in the 2nd quarter.

United, it seems, is not waiting for the pending nuptials with Continental to be complete before they attempt to create a competing product.  United Airlines spokesperson Brian Osten was quick to fill us in with broad brush strokes of the new plan, while the finer details are still being worked out. Everybody who knows me, knows that I hate the mainstream media (the evening news to be more specific) . They all have the same fake voiced delivery and fake outrage at even the most minuscule invasion of liberal ideals; take away their teleprompter and their useless (hmm sounds like someone else we know). On top of this facade there is the ever present formula of evening news production. Leave it to the Brits to create comic genius by simply stating the facts. Have a look.
