TO FIND ON Xbox live – When you turn on the console and get to welcome screen, scroll up to Video marketplace, click zune icon. It takes you into the actual zune marketplace. It defaults to movies. Scroll to browse all. That takes you to an alpha list. Click down to “G” then scroll down to “George A. Romero Survival of the dead”. Click and view.
Fans of George Romero’s zombie films have something to celebrate, as tomorrow marks the on demand release of Survival of the Dead. Following the model of Fearnet’s on demand releases, Survival will be available on Xbox live, Playstation network, and numerous programming providers nationwide April 30 2010. Survival will then have a theatrical release one month later on May 28th, 2010. No word yet on how big of a release it will get, but based on the release for Diary of the Dead, you may have to drive a while to see it on the big screen. (more…)
The Crazies is a remake of the 1973 George A. Romero movie of the same name. A story about a Biological weapon released upon a small town that results in brutal insanity. A small town man, his wife and a few friends do their best to survive as the inhabitants of the town rapidly become inhuman monsters. The military complicates things and begin shooting people on site to contain the virus until the town can be firebombed out of existence. Sort of like, The Happening meets Outbreak meets 28 days later.
