The new Xbox One was finally unveiled today to the excitement of the gaming community. It not only is a gaming system but also becomes your cable box, your Skype enabled video phone,  and there’s interactive layering of data over TV programming which allows multitasking while watching tv and gaming.

It will bring improved, incredibly sensitive voice and gesture controls (via the new kinect) to watching TV. There’s an interactive guide for live TV, which is fully voice controllable; Changing Channels, recording TV, etc. will be as easy as saying  Watch SyFy.  XBOX ONE will also be competing against streaming services like Netflix and Amazon announcing its first exclusive television show, Steven Spielberg’s Halo: The Television Series. Aliens:Colonial Marines

Posted: 13th May 2013 by Jon in GAMEs

Aliens_Colonial_Marines_Cover Aliens Colonial Marines finally is available for a manageable used price which means I can now give you my full review. For Many months I have eagerly awaited the proper sequel to James Cameron’s masterpiece ALIENS, all the while having my expectations lowered by development issues, release delays and poor reviews.

For those who don’t know Aliens Colonial Marines takes place 17 weeks after the events of ALIENS and follows a platoon of the USCM to LV-426 answering the distress beacon sent by Corporal Hicks. [spoilers ahead]

CAMPAIGN: Even though last reports found the Sulaco passing through the Fiorina ‘Fury’ 161 system (at the time of the events of ALIEN 3),  It looms around LV-436 in a ghostly orbit. Apparently your ship is late arriving because the previous boarding party has been all but taken out and the Sulaco has been overrun with ALIENS. You board to retrieve the flight recorder and figure out what happened to the doomed ship.  Long story short Weyland Yutani has also sent a recovery team (which is assumed to be the reason the Sulaco is back in orbit) and have set the weapons system upon your ship. You fail to shut them down in time and the remaining personnel escape the ship via drop ship and crash land on LV-426. (more…)

I’ve made it even easier for you to get your very own copy of  Cardocalypse. I want you to have fun SO MUCH that I broke out the old Iframe to embed the purchase site for you below..

For those of you who still engage in physical gatherings of friends to play games that don’t involve turning on the television or computer , I encourage you to purchase The Just Released Cardocalypse. Not only does it contain numerous pieces of artwork drawn by Yours-Truly, but also 100% happy fun time excitement, a spiffy six sided die and ridiculously hilarious text and art created by your friends at MyremoteRadio.com.
Your order will include everything you need to appease the boredom of up to 6 people, with hours of hilarious fun. In addition, if (and I stress IF) the game gets too stale you can combine your Cardocalypse cards with any of your Munchkin Card games for a whole new experience, time after time after time.
The rules are simple and can be learned by even your dumbest and most naive friends.  There are a couple different versions so get the one that fits your needs for old school board gaming fun.
(ironically there is no board associated with this game as its a card game but what the hell?)

All product hocking aside, This game is a lot of hilarious fun and will make you giggle over and over again.

Last Possible Player: Let’s Kill Some Zombies!!!

The Last Possible Player Review: Reviewing Old Games that you couldn’t afford New

If you’re like me, (and chances are that you are since you’re reading this) the gimmick of the Wii has worn itself out and the tiny game system has sat collecting dust on your shelf for near on 6 months. Since I am over 7 years old, Nintendo’s collection of Hokey Pokey games just hasn’t grabbed me (with exception of the amazing Silent Hill) and based on that stigma I have no plans whatsoever to purchase the lame Wii U. Since it has backward compatibility with the Gamecube, I decided to get my yearly Resident Evil fix with my Ex-Gen Versions of Resident Evil (remake) Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 4.

Sadly without updating these old timers are becoming outdated and don’t have the entertainment value they once did. So in an attempt to quench my serious jones for post apocalyptic Zombie Destruction I impulsively purchased Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles & Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. Oh yeah as well as the Nyco gun attachment for the WiiMote. These two games are on the rails shooters much like the commonly known House of the Dead series only better. The Chronicles games take scenarios from the games you love and remember and plants you smack dab in the middle of them. (more…)
