D.W.E Driving While Elderly

Awesome! I have been talking about the similarities between Driving Drunk and Driving while elderly for years, and it looks like its begining to catch on. On Fox News this morning i Found this article http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/04/16/america-readies-for-silver-tsunami-elderly-drivers/. In this article they refer to the ever growing population of dangerous drivers as “The Silver Tsunami”..I’m Incredibly jealous that I didn’t come up with that. My Original article posted in 2010 is posted below. Enjoy.

I’ve been thinking lately about drunk driving laws and the elderly. You are not allowed to drive while intoxicated as it slows your reflexes and limits your ability to avoid obstacles (other people and cars). I believe in this law, however I fail to see how this differs from DWE (Driving While Elderly). (more…)

Ok so I’m Sacreligious…now what?

Over the holiday weekend  I had the pleasure of once again discussing the nature of religion with my mother who considers herself very religious whereas I am an atheist. I was raised Catholic but never really had much faith as there were too many questions unanswered or ignored that were quickly explained away by true believers as “gods will”.  To me you might as well tell me its magic.

Of course the conversation ends as it always does with both sides accusing the other of not being educated on the facts; The Atheist being called arrogant and combative and the theist being called Naive and vaguely dismissive. Religion is just something that can not be discussed rationally as it is not a rational subject. Every example of “proof” from a believer comes in the shape of hearsay from years upon years ago before science was as advanced as it is today. And coincidentally there is no residue of ANY kind that can be tested now. You never hear the argument begin with “Last Week…” or even “Last Year…”. For such a miraculous God it seems strange that the only signs he sends to us now are in the form of Jesus’s head on a potato chip or the virgin Mary appearing under an embankment from a water stain.

No matter how many people I have this debate with never once do I get a sufficient answer to my questions. Why is it that no (average person) believes that Science, Astronomy,  or Government from 20 B.C.E is still applicable today, and yet “Jesus” and the New Testament are clearly unflappable. Any detective will tell you that Occam’s razor specifies that the simplest answer is most likely the true answer. What makes more sense: That Jesus was a schizophrenic or Con Man Like David Koresh?Or was he a magic flesh bound son of a deity that now one has ever seen reliable proof of? Or even worse yet…what if David Koresh really was the second coming of Jesus and none of you believed him? (more…)

Chloe Moretz Cast as Carrie

It has just been announced that Stephen Kings Classic Carrie is set to be remade; and this time filling Sissy Spacek’s Over the Shoulder Dirty Pillow Holder is the acclaimed young actress Chloe Moretz.
You might recognize Ms. Moretz from such memorable roles as Hit Girl in Kick Ass, Abbey in Let Me In, and little Chelsea Lutz in the remake of The Amityville Horror. Most recent remakes are unnecessary, however An updated take on Carrie could be good. I’m sure Moretz will be great based on every one of her other performances, however its going to be hard to fit that beaten down religious crazy look that Sissy Spacek fit so well. Moretz is turning out a little too pretty for the nerdy girl but hopefully they’ll pull off a Charlize Theron in MONSTER rather than the “teeny bopper put hipster glasses on a model and call her a nerd” approach.

Folks I’ve officially accepted the fact that we will have Obama for another 4 years. I’ve also accepted that Ron Paul wont be the republican candidate, so if he goes back to his third-party roots & the GOP isn’t going to win anyway; Id like to invite you all to tender a vote of no confidence in both sides of the government by “throwing your vote away” and voting for Paul. Regardless of what he does in office if so many citizens “throw their vote away” on a trailing third-party candidate it will send a clear message to the government that we are tired of both selfish idiotic parties.

“Change” isn’t a choice when you are given only two options, and if enough voters “throw away their vote” we might just throw those votes right into the Whitehouse.

Please pass this on and help to end the broken two-party system. This is all dependent on Paul becoming the third-party Option and “betraying” the republicans by splitting the vote. But I say splitting what vote…voting for the other GOP candidates just to oust Obama is  like choosing to eat  a dead fish over a dead mouse…its all crap in the end.

Okay so its big news that this guy sold his Dead great uncles multimillion dollar comic book collection and now has a 3.5 million dollar nest egg. So let me get this straight…this guy passionately  collected comics for his entire life since the early 1930′s and amassed a collection which includes 45 of the 100 most prized comics of all time….. he dies…and his good for nothing great nephew sells every last one….doesn’t even keep a few gems to remember the guys legacy or even for display. A lot of people may be rooting for this newly rich scavenger but i think hes a disrespectful little prick.

I understand there is a time to move on, but everyone of those comics is a piece of  a family members life. Books and the like are hard copies of memories that can be relived over and over again by generations of people. I think I would have had more respect for him had he read through and ruined the spines on every single book rather than pawning them off on the highest bidder. I can understand selling maybe half but COME ON!! First appearance of Batman, First appearance of Superman, first appearance of Green Lantern , First appearance of Doctor Doom…. How about you hold on to a few of your dead uncles prized collection….you can always sell them later when your first million dollars runs dry…this guy disgusts me. click ahead to see his interview. NASA’s space exploration plans take a galactic hit

Posted: 13th February 2012 by Jon in NEWS

NASA plans to drop nearly $310 million from the budget for its Planetary Science division in 2013, a 20 percent cut that affects future missions to Mars, lunar science, and the study of the outer planets.

HOORAY FOR THE DEATH OF INNOVATION IN AMERICA!!! Thanks to the shortsightedness of the bleeding heart liberals and the uneducated of the country we once again strangle the heart of our  economy. People laughed at Newt Gingrich for the only smart thing he said…Put a base on the moon.

All these F#&@ing morons who like to bash the space program and insist that we stop giving money to NASA in order to pay for a few more layabouts who don’t want to work need to take a look at their lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, there are people who need help, but far too many are taking advantage of the system to live their lives comfortably on the shoulders of our future.

The fact of the matter is we were once the leader of the world in technical innovation and it was all because of the space program. The very fact that these hippies are able to bitch and complain about better fuel economy for cars via their iPhones is BECAUSE OF THE SPACE PROGRAM!!! Without the space program we wouldn’t have integrated circuits, cell phones, advanced engineering in cars, memory foam, microwaves, flat panel TVs and monitors. If these NASA raping assholes want to find a remedy for  “Global Warming” or as its called now “climate change” LET NASA DO THEIR JOBS and in the process they will find it. (more…)
